This Privacy Policy explains what information VAGPULSE ("we", "us") collects when you
visit vagpulse.com, buy a license, or use the VAGPULSE desktop application, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- When you purchase: your email address and billing details. Card payments are handled
entirely by our payment processor (Stripe) — we never see or store your full card number.
- License activation: your license key, a non‑reversible hashed Machine ID derived from
your computer (used only to lock your license to one device), and activation timestamps.
- Website: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and
to keep the site running. We do not use advertising trackers.
What stays on your computer
The VAGPULSE application runs locally. Your vehicle data, fault codes, ECU files and tuning files
stay on your computer — they are not uploaded to us. The app only contacts our server to verify your
license.
How we use your information
- To deliver your license key and download link.
- To activate and validate your license (including machine‑locking).
- To provide support and process refunds.
- To detect abuse and keep our services secure.
Who we share it with
We share only what's necessary with service providers that run our business:
Stripe (payments), DigitalOcean (hosting), and our email provider (to send your license).
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to support your license and meet legal/tax
obligations. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data (subject to those obligations).
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing us.
