Which cars are supported?

Audi and Volkswagen across K‑line and CAN — from early ME7 / EDC15 up to modern MED17 / EDC17 and DSG. (Seat & Škoda coming later.)

Is it really a one‑time purchase?

Yes. Your license is a one‑time, machine‑locked key. Updates within the major version are free.

What if it bricks my ECU?

The honest answer: any tool that writes to an ECU carries risk, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. Here is what VAGPULSE actually does about it.

Reading is never risky. Diagnostics, fault codes, live data and reading your ECU out are all read‑only — they cannot change anything in the car.

It refuses to guess. VAGPULSE only writes to an ECU whose map locations we have verified on real hardware. Load a file it doesn't recognise and tuning is simply switched off, with the reason shown — it will not apply another ECU's addresses to your car and hope.

It backs up first, and checks the basics. You keep the original file before anything is written, and the app checks supply voltage before a flash, because a sagging 12 V line mid‑write is the classic way ECUs are lost.

If something does go wrong, email support@vagpulse.com — most “bricked” ECUs are recoverable by rewriting the backup.
